A panoramic photograph taken from Lac de Sainte Croix Verdon.

I was there again! More than two months later I'm finally back in blog-land. There is too much (or little) has happened to a great piece about writing, so I keep it nice and easy: a list!

♥ early July, I've been to France for ten days with my parents and friends in 1940 the 35-year marriage of my parents to celebrate. The party was a huge success even though it was 40 degrees that day (in the shade!).

♥ In the three weeks that I was in the Netherlands before my summer vacation really began, I have not done. Of course there was the World Cup Finals, I've seen on the Museumplein. The ceremony a few days later I also experienced the huge mass of people on the same square and I would not have wanted otherwise. It was great fun. For the rest who were quietly three weeks.

♥ And on August 28 we went to our cottage in France. With one month holiday in prospect, I was so happy, of course. In the first week we were there were our friends from the north a few days past: with them I have my 29th anniversary. Yes, I'm 29 again. It was a nice day: we went to a Roman archaeological site and then to an old ruin that I have more than 10 years wanted to visit. In the evening there was our little house just enough space for everyone to leave: as usual on my birthday in southern France, the rain came pouring down from heaven. But it was nice that way. And I got another one its own private concert for my birthday: Lolo neighbor plays guitar and sings there. All in all I really had a great birthday.

♥ We are, I have never been away so much during the holidays as this year. Normally we stay at the house in the neighborhood and I spend my time at the pool on site, but this year we are really far gone. You hear me not complaining, you know, it was really great fun. So we are 3 days to Le Lac de Sainte Croix been the huge lake that you can see in the picture. The water there is incredibly beautiful blue and clear. Next year I would definitely return because I have not much seen / done it!

♥ In other words, I have a great summer behind. Unfortunately, the weather last week really was over and normal life going again. But that happens sometimes. How was your summer?

Most women I know have a morning and evening ritual. They make their face clean, use a nice cream, toner or serum. The same ritual they repeat again in the evening before bedtime. I really respect people who can because I have terrible trouble keeping a fixed habit.

I've been trying a long time (read: a few years) a morning and evening ritual to me where I can, but until now has still not succeeded. In the morning so I was still half asleep walking to the bathroom to empty my bladder and then go straight to the kitchen for a cup of coffee. It happens maybe once a week that I'm awake enough in the morning my face immediately to clean and care for. I am really sorry that I can not keep to the rituals that I always for myself on paper.

Immediately after getting up towards my face and bathroom cleaning. Now there is Oil of Olaz in the box, so: wet face, a little cleanser on my hands and wash it. Then a tonic to what you do and get it over my face. A day cream is next on the list, including those of Oil of Olaz.

So I prefer to start my day with a delicious soft skin that is well cared for, but unfortunately I will not really succeed. The same is true for the end of the day, I'm usually too tired to still do the whole ritual. And yet I keep trying, because good care of yourself is not only tasty, it's also good for you.

How to start and end your day you? Do you have a ritual that continues every day?

Now I've told you how my hands and nail care is the time to share with you my pedicure. Keep in mind that I am not an expert in pedicures, pedicure and more. I just do what I likes. :)

01. I always start with a good foot. A bin / bucket with hot water nearly hot (my pain threshold for hot water is very low for me) and then throw in a little olive oil, honey and salt. (Those three ingredients, I have to Mendy inherited.) How long with your feet in stays is up to the person, continue to mine good weeks until I'm ready with my hands.

02. When I get my feet out of the water dry them first, and I pick up the Ped Egg . If it is the first time I take my heels in hand with the Egg then I calm down, you do not do everything at once. Me get the Egg a few times over the calluses on my heels and put him back down beside me.

03. The next thing I do is deal with my toenails, I take a file and take it down my cuticles to remove the excess. If necessary get my nails clipped and filed.

04. Finished the Ped Egg and updating of nails I grease a nice thick cream on my feet, let it sink in and then go paint my nails.

And that's it then. How do you make your feet ready for summer (and slippers)?

As I said yesterday I have a summer beauty ritual. That is still more to my feet than my hands because, well, your feet are still more congested during the winter than your hands. I think it is wonderful, when I take a foot, my face and hands to carry. So I have something to do while my feet are really soft in the water. And then I remembered that it might be fun to share with you my manicure. I do this not only when it is summer, my hands take care of all year round. :)

01. First I look at my nails and I decide whether they should be cut. I have absolutely no patience for them to file shorter, although it seems better, so I'm always for cutting. Then I file them in the right shape and I do a bit of cuticle oil. That I rub into my cuticles and push me back.

02. Then I make my hands wet and then use Sally Hansen's Manicure In A Minute . This is a deep cleansing scrub with sugar crystals to remove dead skin cells. I usually do a little wet on my hand and rub it over my hands until I can no longer feel the crystals and wash it off my hands.

03. After I've lost my pack hand cream, 18 Hour Protective , including Sally Hansen. This not only feels great on, it smells nice again to oranges. And if I do not want to have hands that smell like oranges, I take my hand cream Thierry Mugler fragrance for the best in the world: Angel.

04. When the cream has been working it's time to paint them. The first layer that is always with me is a nurturing base coat. The last time I use the 2 in 1 & Ridge Filler Base Coat of Hema, because if it is to see it once my nails just look great.

And that's my own manicure. What do you do to your hands and nails care?
